Trial of Geta and Ashinaka
The students from four high schools in Pontremoli have come. Two students took the stage up, and we asked them to translate during the Q&A session. I feel that having the students involved made it feel more personal. Curing the trial of geta, a curious student took the stage, which I think left a stronger impression.

Unexpectedly, one of the children from the trial of "Sakura Sakura" expressed a desire to perform individually. since the dance practice is based on one-on-one session. I was delighted and surprised by this request. This time, thanks to the cooperation of the priest, people who attend the church gathered. Initially, I heard that only elderly people would be present but many children showed up, making it a lively and enjoyable time. I am grateful that an atmosphere was created that makes it easy for those interested in Japan to participate.

Many people attended again this year, just like last year, and the questions varied widely as they did las year. This time we focused just on the dance performance and scheduled the wrkshop for a different date, which seems to have tightened the content. Additionally, the audience was able to see the constume changes, and I believe they enjoyed a more substantial experience.

Kiri no Hana Kai (Kirizaki Mai Performances in Zashiki)

We held a dance performances at the Yoyogi Noh stage with formal preparations.
In the soft sunlight of winter, we danced with two Natori members this time.
We received comments such as "I felt like I had traveled back in time" "I was able to concentrate on the content of the dance" "I was profoundly moved" and "I was moved to tears."
Such events are burdensome, but they are important, so we would like to continue to hold them at least once every two years.

First session
We held a trial class for the first time in 7 years at "Kyorakutei" in Coredo Muromachi in front of Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi. This time, you will learn the basics of jiuta dance while dancing "Ukifune".
The first session focused on "posture," "standing and sitting," "walking," "how to handle a fan," and "how to go around."
We received comments from those who participated, such as "I had the opportunity to listen to the voices of my body parts" and "It was my first time to hold a fan, but I would like to consider participating again next time."
I'm looking forward to the next one.

During the first song the number of people gradually decreased. When the second song was finished, a dozen people was remaining. However the remained people were very enthusiastic. During the Q&A session about 10 questions were asked as same as other events and several people actively came forward to participate in the physical training workshop. I learned the importance of introducing and performing the essence as much as I could do even if it doesn't interest many people.

Due to the request from the university the introduction of the songs and explanation was done by English. It was a time filled with curiosity and energy because the age of most of the 85 participants were around 20years old. Many of the responses during the Q&A session were straightforward and many naive questions and comments were raised. Some students was interested in the vertically written sheet music of the shamisen, another student was surprised against the words of “Tama-tori” and another student was interested in the family crests on the kimono.

Over 165people participated this event because this was sponsored by the Italian Aikikai and the City Government of La Spezia and the event was advertised on television and in newspapers in advance. It was impressive that so many questions, such as “It felt like it had something in common with martial arts”, “What is the difference from Mai performed by Geisha?” and “Why was not performed at a theater?” came because the participants who knew Japan well. The ratio of age and gender of the participants was in a god balance. But the participants who joined the workshop from the audience seats were all women. It might be because they thought that Mai is for women evenly distributed in terms of age and gender, but the reason why all of the people who came down from the audience seats for the workshop were women only.. I found the issue for next time.

Approximately 20 people of all ages, both male and female, participated and learned how to relax and stabilize their bodies so that they could apply them to sports and daily life.

Dance is basically movements that anyone can do as long as they are aware of it.
By being aware of what's inside your body, we designed it so that you could feel the clues to grasping the ``tricks'' (handling bones) of various body movements, and as a result, we received many positive comments.
